For schools in Liberia

School management that works on the connection you actually have.

Registers, results, report cards, fees and texts to parents — on phones, laptops and the shared computer in the office, and on the days the line is down. Built in Monrovia for schools in all fifteen counties.

The school box

Every county has days the line is down. School still runs.

A small computer inside the school holds the school’s own copy of everything. Phones, laptops and the office computer talk to it over the school Wi-Fi — which costs nothing — and it carries the whole school to the internet on one connection, when there is one, instead of sixty phones and laptops each paying by the megabyte.

Wi-Fi only. No internet needed.

A teacher in the staff room opens BenoEdu, takes the register, enters marks. It saves to the box over the school network. Nobody is paying for data, and nobody is waiting for a line.

One connection carries everything.

When the school's line is up, the box sends what every device handed it and fetches what changed at the office. A week offline is queued, not lost — and the first big download happens once, on a connection the school chose to spend.

It tells you how old its picture is.

A box that has not reached the internet since Tuesday still answers — but it says so. Six hours behind is a slow morning; two days behind, and devices with their own connection go to the cloud instead. Nothing on a screen ever pretends.

The one rule: a box relays, it never grants.

A box cannot sign anybody in, mint a password or see more than the device asking it could already see. A Raspberry Pi or the old desktop in the office is enough. Nothing on it is reachable from the internet, and nothing needs to be.

What's in it

Built for the school day, not the demo.

Everything a Liberian secondary school or college runs on, in one place, laid out so a teacher finds their way around it on the first morning.

Attendance first

A register a teacher can take on a phone in under a minute, and reports the ministry will accept. Free on every plan, for ever.

Marks, gradebook, report cards

Assignments, quizzes and exams into one gradebook; report cards and mark sheets printed on the school's own letterhead. Semesters, not somebody else's terms.

Texts to parents

An absence text the same morning. A notice to every parent in one press. Counted honestly — you see what a message costs before it goes.

Fees and clearance

Fee schedules by grade, instalments, statements, and a clearance switch for reports. All money in US dollars, to the cent.

WASSCE practice

Past papers tagged by subject, topic and year. A mock paper assembled in one press. Readiness reports by topic, so revision goes where the marks are.

Timetable

The whole school, with clash detection and teacher loads. Who is free, right now, on the one tab used in a hurry.

Admissions and enrolment

A public application page for families, a decision queue, and provisional admission — documents can follow, and that is the point.

Colleges too

Degree plans, registration windows, seat limits and transcripts with GPA and honours, for the schools that are universities.

Works offline

Registers, marks, quizzes and payments queue on the device and send later. The app is on the device; the connection is optional.

Plans

Priced by the school, billed by the term.

A flat price for your enrolment band, per term, in US dollars — on the calendar your school already collects fees on. Attendance, the gradebook, quizzes, materials and offline sync are free on every plan, including the free one.

Every paid plan comes with a free trial: 30 days.

Pick the plan, and your school runs on it for 30 days with its real limits and every feature on, plus 100 text messages to prove the parent texting to yourself. No card. If you stay, you pay by the term; if you leave, the free plan keeps your registers and marks.

Pay the way schools pay.

Bank transfer or mobile money, once a term, when the fees come in. Extra texts are bought in blocks that never expire. Upgrading mid-term charges only the difference and keeps your renewal date, so the two calendars never drift apart.
